The ‘Big Three’ were kept apart in the quarter-final draw for the NCU Challenge Cup. Unbeaten league leaders Instonians and Lisburn were both given home draws and Waringstown, who won their first round game against Muckamore by forfeit, are away to Section One side Carrickfergus.

Lisburn, last year’s beaten finalists, will host the other Section One side left in the draw, Donaghcloney Mill while Instonians will face North Down, the thrilling league game last month ending in a two  wickets win with one ball to spare. The remaining quarter-final will be at Ballygomartin Road with Cliftonville Academy the visitors for Woodvale.

The semi-final draw for the Women’s competition was also made on Wednesday with holders Waringstown at home to Civil Service North and beaten finalists Holywood 1881 will be away to the winners of the outstanding quarter-final between Dundrum and Lisburn.
