THE HILLS
Captain: Tomás Rooney Murphy
Players out: Nicolaj Laegsgaard
Players in: James Cusack, Pierce Ryan, Oliver Horlock, Hassan Shahid.
Young players to watch: Matthew Weldon, Febin Manoj.
It hasn't been the most productive era in terms of trophies at The Hills in recent times and the Milverton side have rejigged their squad in an attempt to reverse their fortunes.
They have brought in a trio of passport holders, with James Cusack (cousin of Alex) and Pierce Ryan, who both played NW last season at Ballyspallen and Bready, joined by Oliver Horlock. The latter is a top order bat playing 1st grade in Melbourne. Hassan Shahid makes the short trip from Rush to give the squad a new look.
Tomás Rooney Murphy and Andrews Kavanagh form the captaincy and vice roles, and along with new Head Coach Kevin Heuvel and manager Baz Grimes, they will have a youthful squad to pick from.
There's no shortage of youth talent with internationals Matthew Weldon and Febin Manoj two very capable performers who with an added year under their belts may make a serious impression in the top flight.
