The NCU lifted the inaugural Women's Future Series trophy with a 52-run win over Leinster at Laurelvale. Naomi Matthews made 53 in the home side total of 140 - three wickets apiece for Isabel Light and Zoe Bell. The young Dubliners reply never got going aside from Niamh MacNulty's 21 - 30 extras their main contributor in 88 all out. Emily Calvert took 3 for 10, while there was two wickets apiece for Amy Caulfield and Jemma Gillan in the 52-run win.

Rain once again ruined what was shaping up to be a title decider in the Women's Future Series at Beechgrove. The NCU would have been happy with their total of 233, which was due primarily down to two significant partnerships. Openers Amy Caulfield (37) and Gracie Keenan (30) shared a first wickets stand of 70, while Charlotte Lyons (43) and Rebecca Lowe (38) added a further 74 for the fourth wicket. There were four run-outs, while Coleraine spinner Kia McCartney picked up 3 for 36 before play was abandoned due to heavy rain at the midway point. Warriors top the table but the Knights have the chance to pip them to the trophy when they host Leinster next Wednesday at Laurelvale.

The Warriors went top of the Future Series table after a 7-wickets win against Leinster at North County. Izzy McLean's 20 was the best of their total of 103 all out. Coleraine's Kia McCartney took four wickets for just 10 runs, while Zara Craig, fresh from helping Phoenix to their inaugural Senior Cup triumph picked up two as the hosts were dismissed for 103. Isabel Light took three wickets in the chase, but Leinster gifted the Warriors 40 bowling extras to make their task even easier. The Fox Lodge duo of Lucy Neely (27*) and Hannah McLaughlin (16*) sharing an unbroken stand of 61 to seal the win in just the 13th over. The Warriors can lift the trophy on Thursday as they take on second-placed Knights at Beechgrove.

Leinster's long journey to the North West was in vain as the heavy rain of the morning and early afternoon meant only 27 balls were possible before the elements won the day. The young Dubliners had made a bright start and were on 38 for 1 when play was called off.
