As things hot up outside in America, "Jazz Hat" cricket continues apace on the home front with the Leprechauns taking on the Irish Universities at College Park on Wednesday (noon-time start, due to Ladies evening game), and an M.C.C. (mainland XI) visit to the Mardyke on Thursday.

Leps XI :- Bobbo Forrest, Conal Woods, Yash Balasubramanium, Ben McCabe (Clontarf), Michael Brady (Preston Nomads), Joe Prendergast, Luke Murray (Pembroke), Srihan Karpe (R.S.P.U.), Joe McCarthy (Leinster), Eoghan McTiernan (Nantwich) & Jack Lalor (Phoenix).

The Leps season has stepped (as our fielding) slowly into stride. April saw a last over loss to The Oval Dream Boys at Castlenock College, their linchpin, Adam Collins (6/29) fresh from the M.C.C. trip to Gibraltar.

Charlie Butler led a handy (though not handy enough) XI to St Columba's in May. College chased our 136 (Roland Budd 28, Tom Cosby 30) with relative ease, the only speed bump being Ben Huskinson (Lismore)'s double wicket maiden opening over. College cricket is in very good heart with The Warden yet to taste victory over his pupils.
Our other May game at The Doon (Athlone) was washed away.

Next fixture is a return to Castlenock to defend The Toucan Trophy against Chapelizod, Sunday June 16, 1pm.
