Limavady GS joined Strabane Academy and Lisneal College in the last eight of the Schools Cup with a five-wicket win over Regent House.

Jackson Dines top-scored with 28 as Friends were bowled out for just 72 - four wickets for Ross Bond and three for Alice McLaughlin.

Dines (2-5) kept things tight, but the Newtownards school conceded too many extras and dropped four chances as Limavady clinched the win in the 19th over - David Quinlin making 21.

Jonathan Orr top-scored with 30 and took two wickets as Strabane Academy edged out Grosvenor GS by 12 runs at Burndennett - three wickets for Cody Mehaffey.

Charlie Simpson made 60 and Lewis Campbell took three wickets as Lisneal chased Sullivan's 108 to win by five wickets.

Finn Lutton followed up his two wickets with 45 not out to lead Ballyclare HS to a 5 wickets win over BRA.

Harry Dyer took five wickets and scored an unbeaten 30 as Campbell romped into the quarter-finals - two wickets for younger brother Ollie, and 26 not out for Seb Yeates as well.

A Carville's 43 not out helped Down High to a 7 wickets win over Royal School Armagh, while half centuries for Craigan and West ensured a comfortable win for RBAI against Methody.

Closest game of the round saw almost 500 runs being scored with Wallace HS emerging victorious over Bangor GS by just one run.
