CIYMS

Players in: Max Burton, Jacob Mulder, Bamanye Xenxe

Players out: Mark Adair, Jason van der Merwe, Adam Kennedy

Young players to watch: Carson McCullough has had a great off season where he has trained really hard and performed well at the u19 World Cup and more recently in Spain at the ECL. He will have really benefitted from his experiences over the winter and will hopefully make a big impact with both bat and ball this year.

Adam Heasley too has come on leaps and bounds while training in the Knights set up over the winter and will be capable of making some telling contributions with the bat when opportunities come his way.

"Everyone at the club is really looking forward to the season kicking off," said captain John Matchtt.

"We were lucky enough to be in Spain again this year for the ECL so we will come into the season with some cricket under our belt and having taken a lot learning from the experience.

"It’s very exciting to have Max Burton on board who will add some X factor to our batting line up and of course to have Jacob Mulder return is a massive bonus.

"Bamanye coming in as our overseas pro this year looks like a really exciting player. Bowling at good pace and batting aggressively he will really help the balance of our side.

"It looks like the league will only improve again this year with various teams strengthening and bringing in some top level professionals. We certainly feel confident that we will be right amongst the top teams this year and hopefully competing for some trophies at the back end of the season."
