Burndennett

  • Captain: Conan Pollock
  • Overseas player: none
  • Players in: Cody Mehaffey, and two that haven't played in a year or two, Galvin Pollock and Kevin Donaghey
  • Players out: none

It's back to basics for Burndennett who aren't bringing an overseas professional, opting to build the club from the bottom up as they compete in the Championship.

Conan Pollock is skipper once again and there are a number of returnees in Kevin Donaghey and Galvin Pollock to build the depth.

:I think Cody Mehaffey will be one to watch in his first full season playing senior cricket. He has trained very well all winter showing commitment required to fulfil his potential with both bat and ball," said a club spokesperson.

"We opted for no overseas professional this year as we want to continue with the coaching aspect within the club and our focus is to constantly improve individually and as a team whilst continuing to enjoy and be competitive in every game.

"The club are also committed to re-establishing our youth system and ensuring coaching structures are in place to achieve this.

"Consistency will be the key for us this season, we have a good squad with both experience and youth, but its about getting the same team out every week.

"We are looking forward to a competitive Championship this year and hopefully the weather changes shortly!"

The North West clubs are currently voting on whether to postpone the games scheduled for April 27th. A decision is expected over the weekend.
