NCU Awards (27 June)
The first and latest sponsors of the Northern Cricket Union’s league awards as they celebrate their 25th anniversary. The Union’s president, Clarence Hiles, started the tradition with Brittania Building Society in 1993 and David Robinson, managing director of Robinson Services carries it on as sponsors of the premier and senior leagues. More than 1,000 awards have been presented down the years to players who have scored a league century, taken at least six wickets or performed a hat-trick.
The season’s first Premier League winners of the NCU’s Robinson Services awards have gone to Andre Malan of CSNI (second left) for his 107 against Carrick and Waringstown’s Adam Dennison who hit 116 against Instonians

Ron de Freitas receives his NCU League award for his 6 - 12 against Laurelvale at the start of the season.
JJ Strydom receives his NCU League award for his hat-trick against Lurgan in May.
Stephen Burns receives two NCU League awards for son Chris who hit 111 against Derriaghy and Nicky McCollum who took 6-17 against Laurelvale.
Rohit Karanjkar receives his NCU League award for his 107 against Holywood in early June.
David Simpson receives two NCU League awards - one for his 6 - 17 against Laurelvale; the other for Adam Berry’s 125 not out against Woodvale.
Downpatrick professional Matt Acocks hit an undefeated 116 to receive a prestigious NCU player award for a special performances in senior league matches.
