    Ulster Schools lost a low scoring 50 over match played at The Hills, Dublin by 3 wickets. Batting first, Ulster Schools were all out for 105 with captain David Finlay of Methodist College top scoring with 30 with D Gaughran taking 4 for 18 for the Southern side. Ulster Schools appeared to be in control of the match when they reduced the Southern team to 19 for 4 but a fight-back by D Gaughran (41*) and C Armstrong (36) was enough to see their team reach the required target. A McCoubrey from Cambridge House took 3 for 23.

    The annual match between an Ulster Schools' XI and MCC at Campbell College finished in an exciting draw. The Schools' side were just 3 runs short of victory whilst MCC only required 1 wicket to win the match when stumps were drawn.

    An Ulster Schools' XI recorded a 4 wicket win over the Leprechauns in their annual fixture played at Osborne Park as a "timed match". The Leprechauns were all out for 129 with Peter Reid (36) and Richard Finlay (27) leading the way while the Campbell pairing of Richard Heasley and Chris Fuller both claimed 4 wickets. David Hobson (43) from Belfast HS led the run chase with Down HS player Derrick McCann (20*) and Limavady GS boy Alistair Montgomery (17*) saw the Schools' team home with only two balls of the match remaining.
