5:59 PM Ireland will be delighted at how they performed today but the West Indies can't be looking forward to the upcoming ODIs against Ireland and England if this effort is anything to go by.
5:55 PM 303 might have seemed no more than par on the smallish ground and fast outfield at Clontarf but a great performance form all the Irish seamers, particularly Barry McCarthy, ensured that it was more than enough. Mayes and Liam McCarthy both bowled well on their debuts and George Dockrell then took 3 wickets in two overs to break the only substantial stand of the West Indian innings and bring the match to an abrupt conclusion.
5:53 PM Well, that was a very straightforward victory for Ireland after a thoroughly competent all round performance. A century opening stand laid the basis for a good Irish total and then Balbirnie controlled the middle part of the innings with his 112.
