Woodvale will meet Donemana in the final of the Ulster Plate after they edged out Ardmore by 13 runs at Ballygomartin Road. Zarar Khan was the Woodvake hero as he thumped 18 fours and 2 sixes in a top-score of 114 from 108 balls, sharing a third wicket partnership of 115 with Jamie Gibson (29). The home side's total of 250 for 8 was boosted by 37 extras as Ardmore's attack too often strayed down leg-side. George Brolly (3-39) and Mujeeb Rahman (2-28). Those extras would come back to haunt them in a tight chase. Aneesh Anilkumar hit a quickfire 42 (4 fours, 4 sixes) in a second wicket stand of 65 with Bobby Brolly (47), with Brolly adding a further 69 with Phil Patterson, who also made 47. The required rate kept climbing and despite a late flurry from Oisin Reynolds - who hit four fours and a six in a 22-ball unbeaten 36 - Woodvale's disciplined attack closed out a deserved 13-run win - two wickets each for Ashwin Shetty, Johnny Burnside, Matthew Peak and Dominic Chavara. Their bowling unit conceded just seven wides as opposed to Ardmore's 26 - therein lies the story of the match.
