Clontarf will face Pembroke in the Cup Final after a David Delany inspired display saw them beat Railway Union by 71 runs at Park Avenue, A solid batting effort saw Clontarf make 201 batting first in a game reduced to 45 overs. John McNally top-scored with 40 while there were 20s for Patrick Xie, Mitchell Thompson, David Delany and Seamus Lynch. Farman Afridi took three wickets, while there were two apiece for Mark Canliffe, Muhammad Sinan, and Liam McCarthy. Delany's new-ball five wickets burst had Railway's reply in tatters, but a recovery thanks to Phillipe Le Roux (52 - 8 fours), who added 68 with Gethin Kelleher (25) offered some hope. However, two more wickets for Delany saw him finish with seven for 19 in the ultimately comfortable win. The decider will be at Sydney Parade on Saturday week.
