Junaid Ali and Conor Brolly starred as Ardmore gave their chances of Premiership survival a real boost, plunging Eglinton right into the relegation dogfight mix. Robbie Millar took two for five and the consensus was a total of 129 looked respectable but not enough. The hosts had a tricky spell to negotiate before tea and lost three wickets as the realisation dawned this might be not be straightforward.
