Newbuildings won the Faughan Valley T20 Cup final beating Brigade by 21 runs at Ardmore. Ryan Hunter scored an unbeaten 66 that won him the Man of the Match award as 43 came off the last three overs to make a total of 145 for 4. Brigade lost early wickets but Adam McDaid's 57 brought them back into contention, before a double-wicket maiden from Pete Salmon, and three wickets for Johnny Thompson ensured the victory for Newbuildings - Brigade all out for 124 in the 20th over. They will now travel to Cork on the 10th of August in the All-Ireland semi-finals to take on the Munster champions.
