Jersey cricketer, Jonty Jenner, has been selected as a Sussex County Cricket Club Academy player for 2015. This is the first step in a lengthy process towards potentially becoming a professional cricketer.

Jonty was previously one of ten young players to be selected for the Sussex Emerging Players Programme and is the only one of the ten to go on to be selected for the Academy.

Keith Greenfield, Sussex CCC Academy Performance Manager said, "This is an achievement that not many players experience, and [he] should be very proud of as it is enthusiasm, talent and attitude which have helped to get selected into the Academy Programme."

Jonty has recently returned from a two and half week tour of Sri Lanka with the Sussex CCC Academy and Emerging Player Programme a trip supported by the Jersey Cricket Board.
