The second four-day game between Zimbabwe A and Afghanistan A began today in Harare, and it was a low scoring one, with Zimbabwe A just edging the days play.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Afghanistan A lost their first three wickets cheaply, with just 19 runs on the board. It was the Afghan middle order that gave the innings some respectability, with Qaseem Khan top scoring with 37.

The Afghans were bowled out for 169, with Cuthbert Musoko and Neville Madziva both taking three wickets.

Zimbabwe A's reply started with an opening partnership of 15, before the second wicket took their score to 53. Mark Vermeulen and Richmond Mutumbami then batted to the close of play, so far putting on 60 for the third wicket.

Zimbabwe A closed on 113-2, with Yamin Ahmadzai and Sharafuddin Ashraf the two Afghan wicket takers.
