Fox Lodge have been having a torrid time of things this season and despite a much improved performance at home to Clontarf, Iftikhar Hussain's men were again on the wrong end of another heavy defeat.

To their credit they started on the front foot with Tabish Khan opening the batting and the Pakistani revelled in the role as he went on the attack straight away.

Wickets tumbled at the other end however before Khan found a willing partner in Andrew McGinnis- this pair putting on 131 for the fifth as the Foxies sensed a big total. They were reined back a little after McGinnis went for 55 but Khan was far from done as he raced on to his century, eventually out late on for a superb 131 (11 fours and 9 sixes).

Joe Morrisey claimed 3-40 while Andrew Poynter recovered from watching Khan plunder 24 from his first over to finish with 2-69 as the visitors were set a target of 260, later reduced to 255 from 48 after a short rain interruption.

It may have looked a reasonable effort at that stage however 'Tarf openers Mark Collier and Bill Coghlan soon put it into perspective as they played themselves in and then put the Foxies' bowlers to the sword.

Coghlan was in commanding form as the pair passed landmark after landmark, their stand finally ending on 209 when Collier was dismissed for 58.

The home side only had themselves to blame after a litany of dropped catches but Coghlan took full advantage to finally finish unbeaten on 157 (11 fours and 14 sixes) as the visitors ran away with a 9-wicket win.
