Ardmore faced a stiff task in Fingal as they travelled to take on the competition's multiple-winners North County with a fit again Decker Curry taking his place in the away team's line up.

Despite that the Bleachgreen outfit lost 2 wickets in the second over and another soon after to leave them reeling on 9 for 3 early on.

Curry with 29 helped retrieve the situation somewhat however wickets were falling, and falling cheaply at the other end. Between them, six Ardmore batsmen managed just one run before an excellent partnership from Andrew Riddles and Gary Neely rescued the situation.

Riddles hit 5 fours on his way to an unbeaten half century while Neely's 43 not out contained 3 fours and 2 sixes- that pair allowing the underdogs to post a modest 136 for 7 in 37 overs before the rains came.

Eddie Richardson (3-25) and Ian Bertram (2-14) were best with the ball for County who were subsequently set a revised target of 86 in 16 overs following a long disruption.

Gary Neely had Conor Armstrong caught behind by Adrian Murphy early on before the rain closed in again with the score 17 for 1 after 3 overs, and that was to be that; the game now to be arranged back at the 'Green at the end of the month.
