The JCB is delighted to announce that Jersey's Cricket Development Officer Lee Meloy has successfully completed the ECB Level 3 coaching course. This is part of Jersey Cricket's Continual Professional Development programme which ensures we develop players and coaches of the highest standard.

The course took a year to complete and included a week at the Scotland National Cricket Academy and a week with Cricket Ireland in Dublin. Twelve modules covered topics such as psychology and learning environments and Lee had to produce a player development plan and coach junior county players. Among the others taking the course were former Pakistan spinner and current England Spin Bowling Coach Mushtaq Ahmed as well as Anton Roux, Head Coach for The Netherlands.

Lee said, "The two weeks in Edinburgh and Dublin were a great experience and one that is unique to other coaching courses, as it was offered to all countries in Europe. The level of coaching experience other participants had was staggering and it was amazing just to spend time in their company."
