Over 170 young cricketers have been selected for the Development of Excellence Scheme in 2013 which is once again supported by NatWest.

The groups include both boys and girls from the ages of 10 to 18 who have been selected to join the programme.

The groups operate in their respective age groups at Langford and Oakfield on Saturdays and Sundays under the supervision of JCB coaches and the programme is led by the National Coach, Craig Hogan.

Chris Minty, Chief Executive Officer of the JCB, said, ‘ The Jersey Cricket Board is committed to developing players who will eventually represent the Island and we hope these young cricketers will graduate to the National Teams.'

Craig Hogan, National Coach, said, ‘These young players will be challenged by the programme which is designed to make them better players. We hope that they will play for Jersey in ICC tournaments in the future.'

Jerry Whitsey, Head of Products and Marketing at RBS International said, "As the sponsor of the Jersey Cricket Board we have been delighted to extend our support to assist with the Development of Excellence Scheme. Helping sport at grass roots level is an important part of our Community initiatives."
