Jersey won their second warm up match today at Club Aman.
Batting first in a T20 match vs KLCC (a club team of Pakistani
expatriates) Jersey scored 140 for 6 in their 20 overs.
Ed Farley scored a belligerent 32 off 18 balls with one 6 and three 4s and then Corey Bisson (24) and Peter Gough (36) put together a good partnership of 67. Dan Garton (18) not out and a quick 10 off 7 balls from Sam de la Haye saw Jersey finish on 140.
KLCC opened aggressively with both openers playing their shots in a partnership of 31 before Ben Stevens (2 for 9), Charles Perchard (3 for 13), James Faudemer (2 for 19) and Paul Connolly (3 for 27) all bowled well to put too much pressure on their batting. Anthony Kay finished the innings of and KLCC were all out for 108.
The Jersey fielding was competent - Stevens held 3 cathes including two off his own bowling and de la Haye and Tom Minty each held good catches in the deep to complete a good victory.
Jersey have organised an additional match tomorrow against the Royal Malaysian Air Force team to provide additional pre-tournament practice.
