Chris Minty of the JCB
Jersey Cricket squad in Kuala Lumpur
The Jersey squad had their first experience of typical Malaysian conditions in a serious work out at the Club Aman ground this morning.
In very warm, humid conditions they were very quickly perspiring profusely as they warmed up and then went through a series of batting, bowling and fielding drills for nearly four hours.
They welcomed back a 'slimline' Dean Morrison fresh from running up the Wall of China (or so he claims!) who seemed to enjoy batting again - depleting our stock of practice balls when he hit a couple into the creek running alongside the ground!
There was a casualty during the session - Alex Cooke misjudged a high catch and sustained a broken nose which almost matches Paul Connolly's from the inter insular (and they happen to be sharing a room!). All is well, however, following excellent treatment at a local clinic.
They play a 50 over match against the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces tomorrow and a T20 against a local Pakistani club on Wednesday.
