After a win in the first of the two one-day games, Kenya would have been hoping to secure a 2-0 series win in today's second match in Nairobi, but it wasn't to be, despite a fine century from Rakep Patel.

Patel batted through almost the entirety of the Kenyan innings, only falling from the penultimate ball. He scored 124 in all, including nine fours and six sixes. However, other than a 111 run partnership for the third wicket with Tanmay Mishra, who scored 51, no one was able to stay with him.

Those two were the only Kenyan batsmen to reach double figures as Kenya made 230-9 from their 50 overs, Saqib Ali being the pick of the bowlers with 3-28.

The UAE in reply had no problem with batsmen staying in and scoring runs. Amjad Ali scored 60 at the top of the innings, and skipper Khurram Khanhit 65 from 60 balls to take the UAE to victory by four wickets.

The two teams will now play an Intercontinental Cup game against each other starting on Thursday.
