As sponsors of the Jersey Cricket Board NatWest are supporting Jersey Cricket in 2011 to allow Jersey's players to experience T20 cricket both home and away.

The ICC Division 1 Tournament in 2011, which will be co-hosted by Jersey and Guernsey, will be played in the T20 format - the top two teams will qualify for the next round and if successful they will qualify for the T20 World Cup!

In order to prepare Jersey's cricketers they will be playing a series of seven matches in the NatWest T20 Super Series. These matches will be played on Thursday evenings in May and promise to be colourful and exciting. The teams will be selected by the Island selectors and the matches will enable them to identify the players who can adapt to the T20 style. The NatWest Royals will take on the NatWest Knights in this series.

Match venues as follows:

May 5 - Grainville
May 12 - Farmers Field
May 19 - FB Fields
May 26 - Les Quennevais
June 2 - Farmers Field
June 9 - Les Quennevais
June 16 - Grainville

Chris Minty spoke for the Jersey Cricket Board in expressing his thanks to NatWest and his hopes for Jersey's cricket followers to come along and watch this exciting cricket.   The matches will be played at a different ground each week to allow the players to experience different conditions.

In addition to this important series the JCB will be sending a team to compete in a T20 Competition in Holland in early July - this will provide important tournament experience for the squad.

Jerry Whitsey, NatWest Head of Products and Marketing said; 'NatWest has a very proud history of supporting local cricket and I am delighted to see its continuation through this tournament. The Jersey Cricket Board works very hard to develop the sport locally and put Jersey on the International map and it's exciting to be part of that vision.'
