Afghanistan fast bowler Hamid Hassan ran through the Kenya lower-order on the final day of their final ICC Intercontinental Cup league match to hand the visitors a massive 167-run win.

With this win, Afghanistan went atop the points table with 97 points. Kenya ended the game without any points.

In all 8.1 overs were bowled during the day after Kenya resumed at their overnight score of 324 for six at the Nairobi Gymkhana.

On Tuesday morning, Hassan took charge as he first clean bowled Nehemiah Odhiambo and James Ngoche. He then trapped Ragheb Aga and Elijah Otieno leg before wicket to end with a match haul of 11 for 157. Veteran Thomas Odoyo remained unbeaten on 37.

The Kenya tail undid the good work of the top and middle-order that had scripted a determined reply to the stiff target of 512.

For Afghanistan the heroes of the match were skipper Nawroz Mangal who scored his maiden first-class century (168). And of course, fast bowler Hassan who continues to lead the wickets tally in the ICC Intercontinental Cup.

Afghanistan will now play Scotland in the final. The team has won five of their six league matches. Scotland, on the other hand, has lost only one game and that too against Afghanistan.
