Three in a row takes Jersey two points clear at the top

Netherlands A slumped from 110-4 to 159 all out.

Jersey made it three wins from three matches as they beat Netherlands A by 77 runs at the FB Fields in the ICC European Division One tournament.

Scotland A's seven-run defeat by Italy means Jersey have a two-point lead at the top of the table.

All the major batsmen made useful contributions as Jersey scored 236-8 in their 50 overs.

The bowlers then all performed well, with Ryan Driver taking 4-26, to limit Netherlands A to 159 all out.

To be top with just two games left has exceeded Jersey coach Craig Hogan's expections.

"We didn't think we'd be there," he told BBC Jersey. "But the boys have played some good cricket, and they're playing with more and more confidence as the week's going on."

Jersey now play second placed Scotland A at Farmers Field on Saturday, before completing the tournament with a match against Italy on Monday.

"If we can just keep the ball rolling, do the little things we want to do well, then who knows," Hogan added.
