In an easy win over Paktia, Kabul won by 6 wickets with 12 overs in hand, thus lifting the Etisalat inter-provincial trophy of Afghanistan on 11th June 2010.
Kabul reached final by beating Panjshir in the semi-finals while Paktia got there by beating Laghman.
Kabul won the toss and elected to field. Paktia lost quick wickets but managed to bat 48 overs before being bowled out for a low score of 162. Paktia's spectators were obviously disappointed with its team's poor performance against strong Kabul.
Kabul had a good start and played cautiously to reach the target of 163 in the 39th over, winning the match by 6 wickets.
A ceremony will be held in the Intercontinental hotel of Kabul to celebrate the Etisalat Trophy and honour the champion and runner up Paktia along with the top performers in this tournament.
Kabul is the first team to win the 50 overs tournament in Afghanistan. Last year Kandahar won the Twenty20 championship of Afghanistan.
