On Wednesday in the first match of group D, Nuristan beat Zabul by 19 runs and on Friday Kunduz won by 4 wickets against Parwan in the second match of group D.

In the first match Nuristan won the toss and elected to bat first. Nuristan had a good start as it had 8 wickets in hand at the end of 29th over for 136 runs before losing their third wicket. Nuristan scored 244 runs all out in 40.4 overs.

Zabul in response also had a good and quick start as it reached 63 runs in the first 6 overs for the loss of a single wicket. It however failed to chase the 245 runs target and lost all its wickets for 224 runs in 45 overs, Nuristan winning by 19 runs.

In the second match of group D, Kunduz gave hope to its spectators of reaching the quarter-finals as it won by 4 wickets against Parwan, who won the toss and elected to bat first. Parwan managed to score 216, losing all wickets, in 46.4 overs. It did not seem a difficult target for strong Kunduz who impressed their fans today.

Kunduz lost their first wicket of Javed Ahmadi, who has been selected for the national team for the Netherlands tour later this month, after he took Kunduz to 74 runs in 13 overs. Kunduz chased the 217 score in 37 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
