Today's final group match at the South Asian Games Twenty20 tournament was between the two teams who so far have been soundly beaten in all their matches so far. One of those teams would go home in last place, whilst the other would go on to play Pakistan for the bronze medal.

And it was Nepal who won the contest, giving the Maldives yet another thrashing with a ten wicket win.

The Maldives won the toss and chose to bat first, but were bundled out for 55, Anil Mandal taking four wickets for nine runs. Mandal then top scored in Nepal's reply, scoring 29 as they chased down the target in seven overs without losing a wicket.

The medal matches take place tomorrow at Mirpur, with Nepal playing Pakistan for the bronze, and hosts Bangladesh play Sri Lanka for the gold.
