Donemana reignited their outside title hopes with an emphatic 80-run victory over Strabane in the Tyrone derby.

The Red Caps made an excellent start, removing Ireland captain Paul Stirling for a duck before Luke Marillier followed without scoring and James Huey departed for 25.

Raymond Curry then transformed the innings with a superb 120 from 107 balls, striking 19 fours and four sixes. He shared useful stands with Azim Kazi, who made 34, and Levi Dougherty, who added 33.

Billy Dougherty struck 46, while Mark Averill’s unbeaten 34 helped Donemana post a formidable 323 for nine from their 50 overs.

Strabane made a decent start to the chase but were unable to build the major partnership required. Ryan Gallagher top-scored with 40, while Allen Patterson made 35 and captain Kevin Gallagher contributed 34.

Melvin Devaraj led the Donemana attack with three for 37, while Kazi, Andy McBrine and Averill claimed two wickets apiece.

Strabane were eventually dismissed for 243, leaving Donemana with a convincing derby success and renewed hope of forcing their way back into the title race.
