Leinster Under-16s were crowned interprovincial champions after completing an emphatic 86-run victory over the North West in a performance that also marked a remarkable personal milestone for coach Brían O'Rourke.

The success was O'Rourke's 18th youth interprovincial title, underlining his extraordinary contribution to developing young cricketers in Leinster over two decades.

Leinster recovered from the early loss of captain Ted Hasler to the catch of the tournament - a one-handed full length dive at point by Alfie Moan - to post a competitive 209 for 9. Joe Morrissey provided early momentum with a fluent 37 before Jan Dijkstra anchored the innings with a composed 38. Gautum Rana added a valuable 24, while Eli Clarke chipped in with 17, but it was Shravon Biju's unbeaten 32 from 35 balls that provided the late impetus, with 28 extras also boosting the total.

North West shared the wickets, Lewis Pearson taking 3 for 25, Jacob Blair 2 for 27 and Roy McGerrigle conceding just 31 runs from his 10 overs.

Any hopes of a successful chase quickly disappeared as Leinster's bowlers seized control. Biju ripped through the top order, removing Suyesh Kumar, Alfie Moan and captain Olly Britton to reduce North West to 23 for 3.

Ryan McClintock battled for 22 and Lewis Pearson struck a defiant unbeaten 36, but wickets continued to tumble. Jaivir Oberji claimed 3 for 39, while Ted Hasler capped an excellent all-round display with 2 for 10 and Vihaan Puri and Charlie Carolan also struck.

North West were eventually dismissed for 123, sealing a comprehensive victory that confirmed Leinster as deserving champions.

For O'Rourke, it was another chapter in an unrivalled coaching career, his 18th interprovincial youth title reflecting years of dedication to nurturing the next generation of Irish cricketers.

Felix McMillan continued his remarkable form with a second successive century as NCU Boys Under-16s completed a crushing 222-run victory over Munster.

Less than 24 hours after making a hundred against Leinster, the Bangor youngster produced another outstanding innings, blasting 113 from just 54 balls with 14 fours and three sixes. 

McMillan dominated a powerful NCU batting display after Owen McMillan (50) and Eliott Parkhill (24) had laid a solid platform with an opening stand of 65. Josh Parker added 27, Callum Lowe made 37, while captain David Agnew (21) and Jack Robinson (21) maintained the late momentum as NCU piled up an imposing 339.

Munster's Ethan Momand claimed 3 for 82, while Gaurav Chaudhry and Ethan Ross each picked up two wickets.

Any hopes of an unlikely chase quickly disappeared as the NCU attack struck relentlessly. Haris Ahsan made 16, Adam Aziz Ullah scored 27 and Yash Ramay top-scored with 32, but nobody could build the substantial partnership required.

Hridaan Salian and Ethan Booth shared six wickets, both returning excellent figures of 3 for 21 and 3 for 33 respectively, while Luke Crothers claimed 2 for 18. Agnew and Parkhill also chipped in with a wicket apiece as Munster were dismissed for 117 in 36.3 overs, sealing an emphatic victory and completing another memorable day for the prolific McMillan.
