Zara Craig was back in the North West to lead Leinster Women to victory over her former region and with it the inaugural Future Series title at Ballyspallen.

The former Eglinton player top-scored with an unbeaten 43 from 45 balls as Leinster recovered from 65 for six to post 123 for 7, adding 48 with Rush's Ellie McGee (21).

For the Warriors there were two wickets apiece for Mansi Bhavsar, Jenni Jackson and Jodie Spence.

Any thoughts of the NW chasing down the target were quickly extinguished as they were bowled out for just 59, with only skipper Sarah Black (22) and Jenni Jackson (10) making it to double figures.

The champions bowling unit was simply too hot to handle with two wickets apiece for Lucy Barry, Arisha Foysal and Rebecca Cleary.

The series concludes tomorrow, also at Ballyspallen in what is now effectively a dead rubber.
