In-form Harry Tector was brought down to earth with a second failure in three days at Sydney Parade  after becoming the first Ireland player to feature in the top 10 of any ICC world rankings.

Tector, who is rated as the seventh-best ODI batsman, made 13 in a Leinster total of 287 all out, which featured a top score of 87 by wicketkeeper Mark Donegan, only for Munster Reds to romp to victory by five wickets with two overs to spare.

Tyrone Kane set up the win for the Reds with three wickets and a sparkling 83 from 54 balls, including five fours and six maximums, while 16-year-old paceman Reuben Wilson took all five wickets for Lightning.
