KILLYCLOONEY

  • Captain: Timothy Dougherty
  • Overseas professional: Blayde Capell
  • Players in: Matthew Campbell, James McDermott.
  • Players out: none

There is a new overseas professional at Killyclooney for the 2023 season with the signing of South African Blayde Capell.

The 25 year-old is a wicket-keeper batsman, who has performed well for Kwa-Zulu Natal.

They have retained their playing squad from 2022, while they have added Bready's Matthew Campbell and James McDermott.

Timmy Dougherty has been given the captain's armband once again and is relishing the start of the new season.

"There is a much better feel about the club this year with our overseas professional going to be here from the start, unlike last season," said Dougherty.

"Adding Blayde to our team this year is something that should give us a well needed boost with the bat.

"The younger players are another year older and improving every season so hopefully we can get a run of form going."

Killyclooney start their season on April 29th with a difficult assignment at Bready.
