Rebecca Stokell has been ruled out of Ireland's T20 World Cup campaign, and has been replaced by Merrion team-mate Rachel Delaney.

22 year-old Stokell has won 30 of her 34 caps in the T20 format, but has sustained a foot ligament injury which has seen her withdrawn from the upcoming tournament.

"Rachel Delaney has been called up – an experienced all-rounder who has been part of recent senior squads," said National Selector Carrie Archer.

25 year-old Delany has also won 34 caps - 13 of them in the T20 format.

Ireland face England in their opening game of the World Cup on Monday February 13 (1pm GMT).
