North Down have signed Andile Mokgakane for the 2023 season.
The 23 year-old South African is a top-order batter who averages 23.94 with the bat in first-class cricket with KwaZulu Natal, and 18.59 in List-A cricket.
He is a former South African Under 19 international, who also bowls right-arm seam.
He has 17 wickets in 50 matches across all three formats, with his best bowling return of 3 for 4 coming in a T20.
The Comber side had a poor 2022 campaign by their hugh standards and willbe hoping the addition of Mokgakane adds some steel and quality to their ranks.
Jacob Mulder was an earlier addition, returning to The Green after a spell at champions CIYMS.
