At Stormont, the home side got over the line in the final over of a tense contest against Lisburn.

The Wallace Park side were indebted again to Faiz Fazal in their battng, with the Indian international continuing his prolific start to the season with 51 from 39 balls (6 fours, 1 six).

Fazal was one of four wickets for the impressive Matthew Foster (4-17) as Lisbiirn finished on 122 for 7 - Robert Rankin (17) the next best score.

It looked  a routine chase as Troy Johnson hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in a 21-ball 37, which coupled with runs for Marc Ellison (23) and Luke Georgeson (18) took them to 65 for 1.

However, two wickets for Fazal, David Simpson and skipper Callum Atkinson saw them wobble, and it took a vital 11 not out from Andrew Cowden to clinch the points with two balls left.

The T20 Cup continues on Friday night with matches in Group A between Carrickfergus and CSNI< as well as North Down and Cregagh.
