NCU Section One got underway with wins for Muckamore, Derriaghy, Dundrum and Donacloney Mill.
Derriaghy's new South African professional made a bright start in their six wicket win at The Mall. 24 year-old Morne Venter hit an unbeaten 64 to guide the Queensway side serenely to their 135 target, despite the best efforts of Matthew Wright, who took three wickets.
Venter also claimed two wickets, which coupled with skipper Curtis Moorehead's three scalps saw Armagh bowled out for 134 - Harry Doyle top scoring with 34.
Donacloney Mill had little trouble accounting for Saintfield, clinching a seven wicket win. Adam Reid top scored with 61, while Gareth Harrison made 42 in Saints total of 148 - four wickets for Tim McClure and three for Ryan Matthews.
DM's Matthew Lyttle (45*), Charlie Woods (36*) and Shane Warren (34) were all in the runs.
Dundrum got their campaign up and running with a hard fought two wickets win over Lurgan.
Lurgan posted 170 with Callum Gibson top scoring with 43 and Stephen Chambers making 24 - three wickets for Dundrum captain James Martin and a brace for Rodney Hassard.
The Dundrum chase was dominated by Stuart Campbell, who hit 12 fours a six in his 86, adding 56 for the fifth wicket with Scott Symington (25).
Despite a few wobbles Dundrum closed out the win despite the best efforts of Adam Johnston and Peter Maxwell, who took five wickets between them.
Muckamore were the biggest winners of the day as they thumped Bangor by 160 runs.
Sam Gordon led by example as he top scored with 93 as Muckamore posted an intimidating 285 for 7 - runs too for Luke Allen (88*) and Jamie Magowan (41).
Best with the ball for the seasiders were Josh Bates (4-36) and Chris Walton (3-33).
Bangor never threatened in the chase as Gordon completed a fine all-round display by taking four wickets, while there were two wickets each for Pavan Karthik and Richard Keates.
