• Captain: James Martin
  • Overseas player/coach: Stian Swanepoel
  • Players out, Dan Kearsley to Carrickfergus
  • Young players to watch are spin bowler Tom Crudgincton and all-rounder Rhodril Phillips, both will be key players in the first teams campaign. In the seconds, fast bowler James Wright looked brilliant in preseason at only 14 years old (and 6ft 6" tall) young Matthew Douglas also impressed as he took two wickets against Drumaness in his first appearance for the firsts.

James Martin is skipper at Dundrum who have continued to improve and develop over the years.

Last season's top run scorers Stuart Campbell and James Martin both hit 50's in the preseason games and opening batter Terry Hutley will be looking to make runs after returning to fitness.

South African all-rounder Stian Swanepoel is their overseas player, and comes with an excellent reputation.

"This is the most organised, motivated and talented squad I've ever seen at Dundrum," skipper Martin told CricketEurope.

"The firsts, after an excellent pre-season, are looking to consolidate their position in Section One, whereas the seconds and thirds both have their eyes set on silverware and further promotion up the Junior leagues.

"This year sees the introduction of a women's team who will play in the NCU Section One, this is a first for not only Dundrum but the Newry Mourne and Down area. The women are incredibly enthusiastic and a great addition to the club."
