Adam Kelso will captain Cliftonville Academy who are back in the top flight of NCU cricket after clinching the Section One title in 2021.
The club have former South African Under 19 international Dominic Hendricks as their overseas player. The 31 year-old brings a wealth of experience and quality, having no fewer than 16 first-class hundreds to his name.
"I'm certainly looking forward to the clubs first season in the Premier League since the merger back in 2018," Kelso told CricketEurope.
"Itís been quite the journey starting out in Section Two and achieving promotion twice out of a possible three seasons.
"With basically an unchanged senior squad, our team is hungry for the competition expected to come in the coming year.
"After winning Section One, we feel that we have something to prove this season. We are a young squad who are wanting to compete at this level.
"Itís going to be great to have Dom over for the season. With the addition of him, we are looking for each of us to improve as individuals with him around. He is a big player and expectations are high for him.
"Another big player in the squad is Max Burton, coming on the back of a 990 run season will be looking to do something similar at a higher level - he has the talent to do so.
"Matthew McCord will be looking to continue with both ball and bat - he will be a big part of this team.
"With sights for the season coming, our first and foremost goal is to of course avoid relegation. However, with the individual talent in the squad it wouldnít be too ambitious to push for that top six spot and a run within the Irish National cup would also be desirable."
