CSNI

  • Captain: Stuart Thompson
  • Overseas professional: Troy Johnson
  • Players out: Ross Adair, Ben White

The Stormont side have quality in abundance but fell short in 2021 when it came to capturing silverware in an incredibly competitive top flight.

There has been two high profile departures to their ranks, with Ross Adair making the short trip to join CIYMS, while Irish international Ben White has returned to Dublin to re-join Phoenix.

Luke Georgeson though is back once again at Stormont after such an impressive debut season for the Irish passport holder which saw him score 880 runs at 55.00.

Joining Georgeson is his Kiwi team mate at Wellington, Troy Johnson. The 24 year-old is a highly talented batsman, and one who is obviously in form, given his unbeaten 194 against Otago a fortnight ago.

Stuart Thompson has the captain's armband and the Irish international will give young players an opportunity to showcase their talents.

"We have a good number of youngsters that will get opportunities this season but it would be unfair to select one out of the group for individual mentions," said Thompson.

CSNI start their season on April 23rd with a home match against Instonians.
