Ireland will face the UAE, Germany and the Philippines in Group B of the T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Muscat next month.

Ireland open against the UAE on February 17th, before entering new territory with their first time playing the Philippines and Germany.

The format sees the top two progressing to semi-finals where it is a straight knock-out. The two semi-final winners gaining slots at the T20 World Cup later this year in Australia.

Group A looks the more difficult on paper with Nepal, Oman, Bahrain and Canada vying for qualification.

Oman host Nepal on February 18th, with Bahrain taking on Canada. The following day it's Oman v Canada and Bahrain against Nepal. The final group matches on February 21st see Canada playing Nepal and Oman against Bahrain.

Those all-important semi-final clashes are on the 22nd of February, with the final on February 24th.

The second qualifying tournament is scheduled to take place in Zimbabwe later in the year.
