Paul Stirling smashed 59 from 23 balls to help his Abu Dhabi side get off to a winning start in the T10 tournament in the UAE.
He added an incredible 97 in just five overs with Chris Gayle (49*), with both clearing the ropes five times in a match winning stand.
Their pyrotechnics saw their side post an imposing 145 for 4 in their ten overs, which proved 40 runs too many for Bangla Tigers.

Stirling's superlative effort wasn't enough though to secure the Man of the Match award, pipped by Marchant De Lange, who took the first five-wicket haul in the format.
There was plenty of Irish interest too in the tournament opener, with Josh Little facing off against Eoin Morgan.
Little was on the losing side, taking 1for 24 as his Northern Warriors side were beaten by six wickets after posting 109 for 4 - Morgan making 3 not out.
