Angela Platt is to leave her role as General Manager of the NCU after more than four years at the helm.
She is set to be appointed as the new Director of Women's Football at the Irish Football Association.
Prior to joining the NCU in 2017, thanks to funding obtained from the ICC and Sport NI, she had been Executive Manager of Ulster Hockey, a position she held for seven years.
Angela played 75 times for Ireland at hockey, and also represented Northern Ireland at soccer.
According to a report in the Belfast Telegraph, the IFA are set to unveil her tonight at their international at Windsor Park.
The Northern Cricket Union has put an advertisement on its website for a Chief Executive Officer to replace her.
The change in job title is believed to allow the new appointee greater scope to bypass the board at times and make decision making easier. Interviews for the role will take place in October.
