The Northern Knights squad for the final Interprovincial T20 Trophy festival weekend at North Down has been named and will see Tom Mayes make his debut on his home ground.

Surgery on a shoulder injury has ruled out James McCollum and with Luke Georgeson returning to New Zealand to take up a contract with Wellington Cricket the selectors have turned to some of the young players who have progressed through the Emerging Knights programme.

Tom Mayes has led the North Down seam attack this season and his thirty three wicket return is identical to that of Instonians left-arm spinner Cian Robertson and both will surely make the final match day XI

Also into the squad comes James Hunter who started life at Instonians as a left-arm seamer but who has now become a recognised run-scorer for the Shaw's Bridge outfit.

Last of the new boys is Morgan Topping who has earned his place for his performances in the Future Series where he was the leading run scorer and also late-season form with Premier League champions Waringstown.

Skipper Harry Tector can call on on two new Ireland players, keeper Neil Rock and leg-spinner Ben White recently earning their Senior colours.
