The Italian women’s team are set to make their T20I debut next week with a five match T20I series against Austria at Roma Cricket Ground in the Spinaceto area of Rome.

The series will be the first such matches for Italy, whilst Austria’s last T20I action was against Germany last year in what were the first women’s internationals since the Covid-19 pandemic brought a halt to international cricket shortly after the women’s T20 World Cup Final.

The series was initially intended to be a tri-series also involving Jersey, but travel restrictions meant that they were unable to participate. The five matches will be played from 9th August to 12th August, with two taking place on the 11th.
