There were two closely fought contests between the NCU and NW in U13 and U11 interpros at Templepatrick and Muckamore.
In the U13 match Jack Smyth top scored with 41 as the hosts posted 141 in their 30 overs.
There were three wickets apiece for Sam McClintock and Bobby Brolly, while Sam Haslett and Goud were also successful.
The chase was a tense one with Sam Haslett (27) and Bobby Brolly laying a solid foundation, while an unbeaten 34 from Shane Diver almost got the NW over the line,
Wickets though for Mattie Gray, Seb Yeates and James Nelson meant the visitors finished on 128, 13 runs adrift.
In the Under 11 game the NCU emerged victorious by 25 runs.
Felix McMillan top scored with 26 and David Agnew made 16 in their total of 75 - three wickets for Harry Coyle and M Bhavsar.
Luke Crothers (5-11) then produced a stunning five-wickets spell as the NW were bowled out for 50. Two wickets too for Josh Parker.
The teams meet again on Thursday in the North West with the games being held at Newbuildings and St Johnston.
