The Under 17 girls interpros continued on Thursday with the North West winning both their games against the NCU, while Leinster Ones beat their twos to make it four wins on the trot.

Fox Lodge bowler Kara Bates (pictured right) was the star of the show in their double header at Coleraine, taking 4-12 in the morning win, and going one better in the afternoon clash, taking a hat-trick on her way to 5 for 12.

Cody Wallace hit 38 not out and Kia McCartney scored 26 as the North West posted 102-2 from their 20 overs.

As well as Kara's heroics, Zara Craig took 3-4, while there was also a couple of wickets for Eglinton team mate Lucy Carmichael as the NCU girls were all out for 65, despite 20 from Sam Todd.

In game two, Zara Craig's almost even time 56 not out helped the NW to 120 for 2 - runs too from Kara Bates (19) and Ariana McKenna (15).

A brilliant half century from Sam Todd which included 8 fours and a six looked as if it might even the contest as she and Sophie Hinds (20) added 59.

However enter Kara Bates stage right and the day belonged to the hosts.

At Rush, Leinster 1s aka the Blues continued their winning ways as Georgina Dempsey's 62 not out and an unbeaten 41 from Ella Pasley formed the backbone of their 161 for 4 in a 15-overs game.

Three wickets for Emma McEvoy ensured a comprehensive 88-run win.

Phoenix batter Pasley was again in the runs in the afternoon game, as she top scored with 47 while Rebecca Gough was at ease on her home turf as she made 35 not out in a total of 139 for 5 - three wickets for another Rush player, Ellie McGee.
