An opening partnership of 127 in 13 overs between Emma Lamb and Georgie Boyce helped Lancashire Women beat Ireland by 54 runs in their T20 match at Old Trafford.
Lamb was particularly destructive as she top scored with 79 off 46 balls, hitting 10 fours and the only six of the innings before being well caught in the deep by Gaby Lewis off the bowling of Georgina Dempsey (1-27).
The Girls in Green did well to restrict the hosts in the final seven overs as only a further 29 runs came, with skipper Laura Delany (1-13) and Orla Prendergast (3-31) the pick of the attack in Lancashire's final total of 156 for 5.
Gaby Lewis (13) and Rebecca Stokell (18) both hit early boundaries, with the latter also clearing the ropes but in truth a serious chase never materialized.
Skipper Laura Delany's 27 and a run-a-ball 12 from Dempsey the best of the rest as they were dismissed for 102 in the final over.
Laura Jackson claimed four wickets, while there were two apiece for Sophie Turner and Alex Hartley.
Ireland Women are next in action when they take on The Netherlands in a four-match T20I series in Dublin at the end of July, while their European T20 World Cup Qualifier is at La Manga in August.
