A fine all-round performance from Man of the Match Paul Kerr saw Cooke Collegians claim the NCU T20 Shield after they beat Lurgan by 15 runs in the decider at Pirrie Park.
Kerr hit three sixes in a breezy 31 as Cooke Collegians posted 140 for 6, with contributions too from Gibbons (38) and Ayub (28) in an opening stand of 55.

Callum Gibson was the outstanding Lurgan bowler taking five wickets for 21 as Cooke chased late runs.
Kerr (3-15) then tore out the Lurgan top order, removing Stephen Johnston, Jack Maxwell and Stephen Chambers as they slumped to 15 for 4.
Callum Grieve set about rebuilding the innings sharing stands of 49 with Callum Gibson (21) and 50 with Derek Wilson (22) as the Pollock Park side fought back.
Grieve had hit 3 sixes and 2 fours in a hard-hit 47 before perishing to Khalil (3-18) as he tried one big shot too many.

Cooke Collegians eventually running out deserved 15-run winners in an excellent advertisement for the local game, played in a tremendous spirit in front of a large crowd.
